Why AssetList exists
Personal financial assets are scattered across the account systems of different institutions. Each one, for good security reasons, has strict login requirements, so getting a picture of your overall holdings means logging into several apps in turn and reading them one by one. There is no shortage of portfolio tools, but they either keep your data on someone else's server or ask for a paid subscription; none felt both trustworthy and comfortable to use.
So AssetList was built. It sets out to do only a few things:
- Show, at a glance, the value and day's change of the portfolios across all your accounts;
- Keep the data in your browser only: no account, no server;
- Make it easy to work with a large language model (LLM) on your own holdings: have it gather material and offer views from different investment styles for reference;
- Obtain asset prices at as low a cost as possible, ideally none.
This is the tool its developer uses every day. It is now offered free to anyone who needs it.

Frequent updates on the development edition do not lose data or cause compatibility problems. AssetList stores locally only what you enter (holdings, costs, settings) and the reports you generate; quotes, exchange rates and other working data can always be fetched again; and with no server there is no cloud state to migrate and no version conflict. If the development edition suddenly breaks, the developer is most likely publishing a new build. Refresh the page.
The two editions do not share data: browsers keep local storage separate per domain. To move between them, use Export backup / Import backup under Settings → Data & privacy.
Privacy
AssetList's privacy does not rest on a promise. It follows from how the application is built.
No server, no account. AssetList is a pure front-end web page, deployed as static files. There is no login, no user database and no cloud storage of any kind. Your holdings, costs, settings and API keys live entirely in this browser's local storage (IndexedDB and localStorage). They are never uploaded to us; we have nowhere to keep them.
Data goes only to services you chose. While the page runs, your browser makes requests directly to the third parties below. Nothing passes through us:

Each of these services applies its own privacy policy to what it receives. The one to be most aware of is the holdings summary sent to the LLM: it goes out only when you click, you can see exactly what will be sent under "Copy prompt" beforehand, and it goes only to an account you registered and pay for yourself.
The host sees only static-file requests. The site is served through Cloudflare Pages. As with any website, Cloudflare handles connection-level technical information (such as IP addresses) under its own policies when delivering static files; that layer never touches your holdings, keys or any application data. The page contains no analytics, tracking or advertising scripts, and sets no cookies.
Every request can be checked. Everything the page sends leaves directly from your browser, so you can watch every request, its destination and its content live in your browser's network panel.
What you should watch. Because the data lives only in the browser, its safety depends on this device: clearing site data erases everything, so export a backup from Settings regularly; do not keep API keys on a shared device or one others can reach; browser extensions can read page content, so install only extensions you trust.
Canadian privacy law. We do not collect, use or disclose any personal information, so the consent, access and correction mechanisms that the Personal Information Protection and Electronic Documents Act (PIPEDA) would ordinarily require have nothing to apply to here. If you have any question about this section, please write to us.
Saving you money
For a tool built for its developer's own use, cost is a first-order concern.
- Several price sources. Quotes for Canadian and US equities and mutual funds use free public endpoints by default and need no key. For faster refresh or fuller data you can add a Finnhub, Massive or Twelve Data key in Settings (each has free and paid tiers); the comparison table under Settings → Market data keys explains the trade-offs.
- Two ways to use an LLM. Enter an API key and run reports in the app, with a cost estimate shown before each run; or click "Copy prompt" and paste the full prompt into the ChatGPT, Claude or Gemini app you already subscribe to, with no separate API charge.
- AssetList itself is free. No subscription, no paywall. The only costs you may incur are on your own accounts with third parties (market data vendors, LLM providers).
Disclaimer
This site is operated by Code Future Canada Inc. (the "developer", "we" or "us"). Please read this section carefully before using AssetList. By using this site you confirm that you have read and agree to this Disclaimer and the Terms of Use below.
1. This is a viewing tool only. AssetList presents holdings you enter yourself alongside price data from third-party sources, and assembles your holdings into prompts for a large language model you select. It does not manage your assets, does not connect to your brokerage accounts, and cannot execute any transaction on your behalf.
2. Not investment advice. Everything AssetList presents or generates, including prices, changes, valuations, reports, the discussions in "Experts" and any text produced by an LLM, is provided for general information and reference only. It does not constitute, and must not be taken as, investment, financial, legal, tax or other professional advice, nor an offer, solicitation or recommendation to buy or sell any security, fund, digital asset or other financial product. The developer is not registered as an adviser, dealer or investment fund manager with the Ontario Securities Commission (OSC) or any other securities regulator in Canada, and does not act in any such capacity. Every investment decision is yours alone; where appropriate, consult a registered investment adviser, accountant or lawyer.
3. The "investment styles" are not real people. The investment styles in "Experts" are the developer's summaries of schools of thought found in public markets, used to give the LLM an analytical vantage point. They do not represent any real person, organisation or their views, and carry no one's authorisation or endorsement; works and authors mentioned in generated content are cited only to identify the origin of an idea.
4. Data comes from third parties and may be delayed, missing or wrong. Prices, exchange rates, net asset values, company names, exchange listings and similar data are supplied by third parties such as TMX Money, Finnhub, Massive, Twelve Data and Koyfin, and may be delayed (typically by 15 minutes or more), temporarily unavailable, inconsistently defined or erroneous. Your quantities and costs are entered by you and cannot be verified by AssetList. Market values, gains, losses and weights computed from them are for reference only and must not be relied on for trading, tax filing or any financial decision; the official records of your broker, fund company or exchange govern.
5. LLM output may be inaccurate. Reports and discussions are generated by a third-party AI model that you select and pay for. Such models can produce content that looks credible but is wrong, outdated or fabricated (including invented figures, events and citations), and may answer the same question differently on different runs. The developer does not review or endorse any generated content and makes no representation as to its accuracy, completeness or suitability.
6. Provided "as is", without warranty. AssetList is provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis. To the fullest extent permitted by law, the developer disclaims all warranties, express or implied, including without limitation warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose and non-infringement, and any warranty that the service will be uninterrupted, error-free or free of data loss. The development edition (dev.assetlist.app) in particular may change or become unavailable at any time.
7. Limitation of liability. To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, the developer is not liable for any direct, indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive loss (including without limitation investment losses, lost profits, loss of data and API charges) arising out of or in connection with the use of or inability to use AssetList, or reliance on anything it presents or generates, whether in contract, tort (including negligence) or under any other theory, even if advised of the possibility of such loss. AssetList is provided free of charge; in all events the developer's aggregate liability for all claims relating to this site shall not exceed CAD $10.
8. Statutory rights unaffected. Applicable laws of Ontario and Canada, including consumer-protection legislation where it applies, may give you rights that cannot be excluded or limited by agreement. Nothing in this Disclaimer excludes, limits or alters those rights; the disclaimers and limitations above apply only to the extent the law allows.
Terms of Use
Effective date: 2026-09-25
1. Parties and acceptance. These Terms of Use (the "Terms") are a legally binding agreement between you ("you") and Code Future Canada Inc., a corporation incorporated under the laws of the Province of Ontario, Canada, and the developer and operator of AssetList (the "developer", "we" or "us"), governing your use of the web application at assetlist.app, dev.assetlist.app and their subdomains (the "Site"). By accessing or using the Site you confirm that you have reached the age of majority in your jurisdiction (18 in Ontario), that you have the capacity to enter into this agreement, and that you agree to be bound by these Terms together with the Disclaimer and Privacy sections above. If you do not agree, do not use the Site.
2. Nature of the service. The Site is a personal asset-viewing tool that runs inside your browser and is provided free of charge. The developer is not a financial institution, securities dealer, investment adviser, portfolio manager or any other regulated financial-services provider, and the Site does not provide, and is not intended to provide, any service regulated under the Securities Act (Ontario) or other Canadian securities legislation. Using the Site creates no advisory, fiduciary, agency or client relationship between you and the developer.
3. Your keys and charges. The Site has no user accounts. Market-data keys and LLM API keys you enter are matters between you and the respective third party: you are responsible for complying with that party's terms, for the charges it bills, and for keeping the keys safe. Cost estimates the Site shows before a run are estimates only; the third party's invoice governs.
4. Third-party services. The Site calls third-party services (market-data sources, exchange-rate sources, LLM providers, Koyfin, TradingView and others) directly from your browser. Those services are provided by their operators under their own terms and privacy policies and may be unavailable in some regions; the developer accepts no responsibility for their availability, content, accuracy or conduct, and does not warrant that the Site's integrations with them will continue to work. Third-party data is subject to its providers' rights; you may use it for personal, non-commercial purposes only and may not redistribute it.
5. Acceptable use. You agree not to: (a) use the Site in any way that violates applicable law or the rights of any third party; (b) use the Site to circumvent any third-party service's access, rate or regional restrictions; (c) attack, interfere with or excessively load the Site or its hosting infrastructure; (d) use the Site or its output to provide investment advice, portfolio management or any other licensed service to others; (e) impersonate the developer or imply the developer's endorsement of your conduct or content.
6. Intellectual property. The Site and everything in it, including its code, interface design, text, investment-style descriptions and the "AssetList" name and domains, are owned by or licensed to the developer and protected by copyright, trademark and other intellectual-property laws. The developer grants you a limited, personal, non-transferable, revocable licence to use the Site for your own personal, non-commercial purposes. Without the developer's written permission you may not copy, modify, redistribute or reverse-engineer any part of the Site, or use the "AssetList" name to suggest an affiliation with the developer. Data you enter remains yours at all times; reports and discussions you generate are yours to keep or discard.
7. Changes and termination. The developer may modify, suspend or discontinue all or part of the Site, or revise these Terms, at any time without notice. Revised Terms take effect when this page is updated, and your continued use of the Site after that constitutes acceptance. Because your data lives only in your browser, no change to or discontinuation of the Site deletes it, but you are responsible for exporting backups regularly. You may end this agreement at any time by ceasing to use the Site and clearing its site data from your browser.
8. Disclaimer and limitation of liability. Sections 4 to 8 of the Disclaimer above form part of these Terms and survive any termination of this agreement.
9. Indemnity. To the extent permitted by law, you agree to indemnify and hold the developer harmless from any third-party claim, loss, liability and reasonable expense (including legal fees) arising from your breach of these Terms, your violation of applicable law or third-party rights, or your use of the Site and its output.
10. Governing law and disputes. These Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the Province of Ontario and the federal laws of Canada applicable therein, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. Any dispute arising out of or relating to these Terms or the Site shall first be the subject of good-faith negotiation for thirty (30) days after written notice from either party; failing resolution, it shall be submitted to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of the Province of Ontario, to whose personal jurisdiction the parties irrevocably submit. To the extent permitted by law, disputes shall be resolved on an individual basis and not as part of any class, collective or representative proceeding; nothing in this section limits your right to bring an individual claim in a small claims court of competent jurisdiction.
11. General. These Terms, together with the Disclaimer and Privacy sections, are the entire agreement between the parties concerning the Site. If any provision is held invalid or unenforceable by a court of competent jurisdiction, the remaining provisions remain in force and the invalid provision shall be modified to the minimum extent necessary to make it enforceable. The developer's failure to exercise any right is not a waiver of it. You may not assign your rights or obligations under these Terms without the developer's written consent. These Terms are provided in English and Chinese; in case of discrepancy the English text prevails. Les parties ont expressément demandé que la présente entente soit rédigée en anglais.

为什么会有 AssetList

于是有了 AssetList。它要做的事不多：
- 一眼看到所有账户里资产组合的价值与当日变动；
- 数据只保存在你的浏览器里，没有账号，也没有服务器；
- 基于你自己的持仓，方便地与大语言模型（LLM）互动：让它去搜集资料，从不同投资风格的视角给出参考意见；
- 以尽量低、甚至为零的成本获取资产价格。
这是开发者本人每天都在用的工具，现在免费提供给所有需要它的人。

开发版频繁更新，但不会造成数据丢失或兼容性问题。AssetList 只在本地保存你录入的持仓、成本、设置和你生成的报告；行情、汇率等过程性数据随时可以重新获取；没有服务器，也就没有云端状态需要迁移，不存在版本冲突。如果使用开发版时页面突然出错，多半是开发者正在发布新版本，刷新页面即可。
两个版本的数据互不相通：浏览器按域名隔离本地存储。如需在两者之间迁移，用「设置 → 数据与隐私」里的导出备份 / 导入备份。
保护隐私
AssetList 的隐私保护不依赖承诺，而是由它的结构决定的。
没有服务器，没有账号。 AssetList 是一个纯前端网页，部署为静态文件。没有登录，没有用户数据库，没有任何云端存储。你的持仓、成本、设置和 API Key 全部保存在这台浏览器的本地存储（IndexedDB 与 localStorage）里，从不上传给我们，我们也没有地方可以存。
数据只发给你自己选择的服务。 页面运行时，你的浏览器会直接向下列第三方发起请求，不经过我们的任何中转：

这些服务各自的隐私政策适用于它们收到的数据。其中最值得留意的是发给 LLM 的持仓信息：它只在你主动点击时发送，发送前可以在「复制提示词」里看到完整内容，并且只发给你自己注册、自己付费的账户。
托管方只看到静态文件请求。 网站通过 Cloudflare Pages 分发。与任何网站一样，Cloudflare 在分发静态文件时会按其自身政策处理连接层面的技术信息（如 IP 地址）；这一层不涉及你的持仓、Key 或任何应用数据。页面代码中不包含任何统计、埋点或广告脚本，也不使用 Cookie。
每一个请求都可以核对。 页面发出的所有请求都从你的浏览器直接出发，你可以在浏览器的网络面板里实时查看每一个请求的去向与内容。
你需要注意的。 数据只在浏览器里，它的安全也就取决于这台设备：清除站点数据会清空一切，请定期在「设置」里导出备份；公用或他人可接触的设备上不宜保存 API Key；浏览器扩展可以读取网页内容，请只安装你信任的扩展。
关于加拿大隐私法。 我们不收集、不使用也不披露任何个人信息，因此《个人信息保护与电子文件法》（PIPEDA）项下通常需要的收集同意、访问与更正请求等，在这里没有对象。如你对本节有任何疑问，欢迎来信。
帮你省钱
作为自用工具，成本是开发者切身关心的问题。
- 价格数据有多个来源。 加拿大与美国股票、共同基金的报价默认走免费公开接口，不需要任何 Key；如需更快的刷新频率或更完整的数据，可以在设置里填入 Finnhub、Massive 或 Twelve Data 的 Key（各有免费档与付费档）。「设置 → 行情数据 Key」里有一张对比表说明各自的取舍。
- LLM 有两种用法。 既可以在站内填入 API Key 直接执行，执行前会给出费用估算；也可以点「复制提示词」，把完整提示词粘贴到你已有订阅的 ChatGPT、Claude 或 Gemini 应用里执行，不再另付 API 费用。
- AssetList 本身免费。 没有订阅，没有付费墙。你可能产生的费用只来自你自己在第三方（行情商、LLM 提供商）账户上的消费。

2. 不构成投资建议。 AssetList 呈现或生成的一切内容，包括价格、涨跌、估值、报告、「专家论股」中的讨论以及任何由 LLM 生成的文字，均仅供一般信息与参考之用，不构成也不应被视为投资、财务、法律、税务或其他专业建议，也不是对任何证券、基金、数字货币或其他金融产品的买卖要约、招揽或推荐。开发者并非在安大略证券委员会（OSC）或加拿大任何其他证券监管机构注册的顾问、交易商或投资基金经理，也不以该等身份提供服务。任何投资决定都应由你自行判断，并在需要时咨询具备执业资格的注册投资顾问、会计师或律师。
3. 「投资风格」不是真人。 「专家论股」中的各个投资风格是开发者对公开市场上若干投资理念的概括，用于给 LLM 设定分析视角。它们不代表任何真实人物、机构或其观点，也未获得任何人的授权或背书；生成内容中提及的著作与作者仅为标明思想出处。
4. 数据来自第三方，可能延迟、缺失或错误。 价格、汇率、净值、公司名称、交易所归属等数据由 TMX Money、Finnhub、Massive、Twelve Data、Koyfin 等第三方提供，可能存在延迟（通常 15 分钟以上）、暂时不可用、口径差异或错误。你的持仓数量与成本由你自行录入，AssetList 无法核对。据此计算出的市值、盈亏、占比等仅供参考，不应作为交易、报税或任何财务决策的依据；请以你的券商、基金公司或交易所的正式记录为准。
5. LLM 生成内容可能不准确。 报告与讨论由你自己选定并付费的第三方 AI 模型生成。此类模型可能产生看似可信但实际错误、过时或虚构的内容（包括虚构的数据、事件与引用）；同一问题多次生成的结果也可能不同。开发者不审核、不背书任何生成内容，对其准确性、完整性与适用性不作任何保证。
6. 按「现状」提供，不作保证。 AssetList 按「现状」与「可用」状态提供。在法律允许的最大范围内，开发者不作任何明示或默示的保证，包括但不限于适销性、特定用途适用性、不侵权，以及服务不中断、无错误或数据不会丢失的保证。开发版（dev.assetlist.app）尤其可能随时变动或暂时不可用。
7. 责任限制。 在适用法律允许的最大范围内，对于因使用或无法使用 AssetList、依赖其呈现或生成的任何内容而产生的任何直接、间接、附带、特殊、后果性或惩罚性损失（包括但不限于投资损失、利润损失、数据丢失、API 费用），开发者概不负责，无论基于合同、侵权（含过失）或其他任何理论，即使已被告知发生此类损失的可能性。AssetList 免费提供；在任何情况下，开发者就与本网站相关的全部索赔所承担的累计责任总额不超过 10 加元。
8. 法定权利不受影响。 安大略省及加拿大的适用法律（包括消费者保护立法，如其适用）可能赋予你某些不能通过协议排除或限制的权利。本声明中的任何内容均不排除、限制或改变该等权利；上述免责与限制仅在法律允许的范围内适用。
使用条款

1. 协议双方与接受。 本使用条款（下称「本条款」）是你（下称「用户」或「你」）与 Code Future Canada Inc.（一家依加拿大安大略省法律设立的公司，AssetList 的开发者与运营者，下称「开发者」或「我们」）之间，就使用 assetlist.app、dev.assetlist.app 及其子域名上的网页应用（下称「本网站」）所达成的具有法律约束力的协议。访问或使用本网站，即表示你确认已达到所在司法辖区的法定成年年龄（在安大略省为 18 周岁）、具备订立本协议的行为能力，并同意受本条款以及上文《免责声明》《保护隐私》两节的约束。如不同意，请勿使用本网站。
2. 服务性质。 本网站是一个在你的浏览器内运行的个人资产查看工具，免费提供。开发者不是金融机构、证券交易商、投资顾问、投资组合经理或任何受监管的金融服务提供者；本网站不提供、亦不意图提供任何受《安大略省证券法》或加拿大其他证券法律监管的服务。你与开发者之间不因使用本网站而形成任何顾问、受托、代理或客户关系。
3. 你的 Key 与费用。 本网站没有用户账户。你在本网站填入的行情数据 Key 与 LLM API Key 属于你与相应第三方之间的关系：你须自行遵守该第三方的服务条款，自行承担其产生的费用，并对 Key 的保管负责。本网站在执行前显示的费用估算仅为估计，实际费用以第三方账单为准。
4. 第三方服务。 本网站从你的浏览器直接调用第三方服务（行情数据源、汇率源、LLM 提供商、Koyfin、TradingView 等）。这些服务由各自的运营方按其自身条款与隐私政策提供，可能在某些地区不可用；开发者对其可用性、内容、准确性或行为不承担任何责任，也不保证本网站与它们的对接会持续有效。第三方数据受其提供方的权利约束，你只能将其用于个人、非商业目的，不得再分发。
5. 可接受的使用。 你同意不会：（a）以违反任何适用法律或第三方权利的方式使用本网站；（b）利用本网站规避任何第三方服务的访问限制、速率限制或地域限制；（c）对本网站或其托管基础设施进行攻击、干扰或过度请求；（d）将本网站或其输出用于向他人提供投资建议、投资组合管理或任何需要持牌资格的服务；（e）冒充开发者，或暗示开发者对你的行为或内容的背书。
6. 知识产权。 本网站及其全部内容，包括代码、界面设计、文案、投资风格描述以及「AssetList」名称与域名，均为开发者所有或经授权使用，受版权、商标及其他知识产权法律保护。开发者授予你一项有限的、个人的、不可转让、可撤销的许可，仅供你为个人、非商业目的使用本网站。未经开发者书面许可，你不得复制、修改、再分发、反向工程本网站的任何部分，或将「AssetList」名称用于暗示与开发者存在关联。你录入的数据始终属于你；你自行生成的报告与讨论内容由你自行处置。
7. 变更与终止。 开发者可随时修改、暂停或终止本网站的全部或部分功能，或修订本条款，恕不另行通知；修订后的条款自本页面更新之日起生效，你在此之后继续使用本网站即视为接受。你的数据只在你的浏览器里，本网站的任何变更或终止都不会删除它，但你应自行定期导出备份。你可以随时通过停止使用并清除浏览器站点数据来终止本协议。
8. 免责与责任限制。 上文《免责声明》第 4 至 8 条构成本条款的一部分，并在本协议终止后继续有效。
9. 赔偿。 在法律允许的范围内，对于因你违反本条款、违反适用法律或第三方权利、或因你使用本网站及其输出而引起的任何第三方索赔、损失、责任与合理费用（包括律师费），你同意向开发者作出赔偿并使其免受损害。
10. 适用法律与争议解决。 本条款受加拿大安大略省法律及适用于该省的加拿大联邦法律管辖并据其解释，不适用其冲突法规则。因本条款或本网站产生的任何争议，双方应首先在一方发出书面通知后的三十（30）日内通过善意协商解决；协商不成的，提交安大略省法院专属管辖，双方不可撤销地接受该等法院的属人管辖。在法律允许的范围内，争议应以个人名义解决，不得以集体、代表或集团诉讼方式提起；本条不限制你向有管辖权的小额索赔法院提起个人诉讼的权利。
11. 其他。 本条款连同《免责声明》与《保护隐私》两节构成双方就本网站达成的完整协议。若任何条款被有管辖权的法院认定无效或不可执行，其余条款继续有效，无效部分应在必要的最小范围内予以修改以使其有效。开发者未行使任何权利不构成弃权。未经开发者书面同意，你不得转让本条款项下的权利义务。本条款以中文与英文两种文本提供，如有歧义，以英文文本为准。Les parties ont expressément demandé que la présente entente soit rédigée en anglais.
